Teamwork Rules

We all know that covid-19 has changed our lives for now, but we can't fully know what is in store for us in the future. Will people continue to work from home? What format will this take? Will it be a few days from home every week, while reconnecting with our colleagues the other days of the week at work?

One thing is for sure: distance working will most likely take a larger part of our lives, which means we will need to work even harder to maintain good team communication. In fact, people who have led distance teams have learned the hard lesson of the need for enhanced communication skills with remote teams.

Enter the realm of co-development or action learning, where colleagues become consultants to each other, to provide alternative solutions and perspectives that can lead to better results, both individually and collectively. And at the same time they serve as consultants, they also develop their own leadership and feedback skills. The wheel turns, naturally, as in all good teams, consultant and client switching roles.

Action learning/co-development can enhance co-operation in strategy and innovation meetings, team management techniques, and customer service, to name only a few. Groups meet during four to six months on a regular pre-determined basis. Groups can be self-managed, or it may be preferred to have an outside consultant come in. If the latter is the case for you and you would like to hear more about what this approach can do for your team, please reach out to us soon for a quick conversation for better insight!
